Identify the type of flooring in your bathroom.
Identifying the type of flooring in your bathroom is an important part of cleaning it effectively. The type of flooring you have may determine what cleaning supplies, methods, and products you will need to use. Different types of flooring require different cleaning processes, so knowing what kind you have can help you make sure your cleaning is as thorough as it needs to be.
Gather cleaning supplies such as a vacuum, mop, and cleaning solution.
When cleaning a bathroom floor, it is important to use the right cleaning supplies. A vacuum, mop, cleaning solution, and sometimes even a sealant are necessary to ensure that your bathroom floor looks its best. To start cleaning the floor, first identify the type of flooring you have in your bathroom. Different types of flooring require
Start off with sweeping or vacuuming the floors when cleaning bathroom floor:
So I will say, I hate sweeping. Always have and always will. That is why I chose to invest in a Dyson Vacuum. You definitely DO NOT have to do this. You can use a simple broom to clean your bathroom floors!
However, having a Dyson is something you should look at if you hate sweeping or are just not good at it like me. It is really well worth the money and something that lasts a VERY long time!
You really want to focus on grabbing hair and dirt at this step! I shed SO much hair and it is always all over my bathroom floor, once you start mopping, you do not want hair on the floor!
Grab a microfiber to clean baseboards to deep clean bathroom floors
Okay, so this is an “unnecessary” step every time you start cleaning bathroom floors. But I think it is really important, especially if you own the house. You do not want dirt to collect on your baseboards.
So, just grab a microfiber towel and grab some warm water, and tide detergent powder and just scrub through. It really should not be a hard scrub since you are doing this as much as possible 😉
You can also use a Swiffer Duster when your baseboards are not that dirty yet! I think this can really make a difference as you clean your baseboards regularly!
Grab a spin mop or a steam mop
I do not think you want to know how many mops I have been through… Like I just could NOT find the perfect one. Here is my favorite one so far: O-Cedar Mop. Okay, so this deserves all the hype it gets. It is more work than one of those push mops, but this really helps you clean your bathroom floors WELL!
Mopping your floors is so important! Make sure the water is HOT and you use just a little bit of floor cleaner. This is the one I use:
I also believe in not using too much floor cleaner since you do not want a soapy film on your bathroom floors. Also, make sure you clean your floors at least twice!!! This is key!
You can also dump your dirty bathroom floor water in your toilet or outside!
Okay, so I also started to steam mop cleaning the bathroom floors. Now, this is something you do every month or so. It is not hard, but it does take more time! I have this mop if you want to check it out and check the reviews!
How to Clean Bathroom Tiles Grout
Okay, so many people are always wondering how to clean bathroom tile grout! I totally understand this because there will be dark, nasty grout on one side and then you will have a clear grout on the other side of the bathroom floor! This is SO not attractive haha!
Cleaning bathroom tile grout can be an arduous task, but with the right cleaning supplies and cleaning techniques, it is possible to make sure your bathroom tiles look their best.
So the best way I have found is to take a toilet bowl cleaner and a toothbrush. Put that cleaner directly on the grout and let it sit for about two to three minutes! Then just start brushing and it really should do its trick right there! Now you have a bathroom cleaning product that is an all-purpose bathroom cleaner too!
Wait until the floors are dry to finish cleaning the bathroom floor
Please, wait for the floors to dry before you throw a bathroom rug on top or bathroom mats! You just cleaned your bathroom floors, you do not want an issue of mold in your bathroom already!
Once the cleaning process is complete and the floors have been allowed time to dry, there are a few steps that must be taken to finish cleaning the bathroom floor. It is important to take extra care when cleaning any type of bathroom flooring, as regular cleaning will help keep it looking its best over time.
Cleaning your bathroom floor is an important task that requires the right cleaning supplies and techniques. With these 10 easy tips, you should now have all of the information you need to make sure your bathroom floor looks spotless and stays looking its best over time. I also like to end the cleaning process by lighting a candle. Like how are you really done cleaning if you have not lit a candle?!
